Welcome to Elm Shakespeare Company. Founded in 1995, and located in New Haven, CT, The Elm Shakespeare Company is a professional, multicultural theatre company committed to establishing a discourse with Connecticut’s communities and schools through the medium of Shakespeare’s plays.  In addition to free performances in Edgerton Park each August, the company presents innovative educational programming throughout the year.  Whether it is our long term residencies, after school programs or summer camp, the goal remains the same; to teach students, through practical application, the power of Shakespeare’s language and the magic of the theatre.
