Where’s my seat?
Seating is OPEN, on the grass of the Great Lawn. Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets. Blanket-only seating is in front, followed by low chair seating, and finally normal sized folding chair seating.
When should we arrive?
6:30 – Best seats & parking available
Bring a picnic & enjoy!
7:30 – Live Music by the Cast begins
8:00 - Performance (2 ½ hours, no intermission)
What Should I bring?
We suggest bringing a blanket or lawn chairs to sit on, bug spray, a jacket or sweatshirt, and perhaps a small flashlight as the walkways can be dim after sunset.
Is the performance kid friendly?
YES! We get lots of feedback that even with short attention spans, kids are often “rapt with wonder” for the entire performance. That said, while Shakespeare does explore adult themes, our staging will be appropriate for all ages with lots of music and theatricality to keep the whole family engaged.
Are there special mobility needs and other accessibility accommodations?
If needed, drop-off is available directly into the park on paved roads through the entrance on Edgehill Road. Please arrive early if you need these accommodations.
What about bad weather?
We perform if at all possible! Storms blow through and we may delay or hold the show for up to 30 minutes.
So how do we know if the show is cancelled due to weather?
Check this Website & our Facebook Page for Updates throughout the day
We will make the final decision to perform, hold, or cancel by 6:30pm.
Are there restrooms?
Portable toilets are available on the Cliff Street side of the lawn near the Green House.
Can I bring my pet?
Well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome.
Can I take pictures?
Our union affiliation strictly prohibits any photography or video of the actual performance. But we encourage you to take that selfie before or after the show and share your experience on social media! #ElmShakespeare
Is there public transportation options?
Bus: The 228 or 229 bus lines offer service on Whitney Ave. Visit the CT Transit website for schedules and information.
